We began in the early 1980's as the Chilcotin Protocol Office, then became the Chilcotin Ulkatcho Kluskus Tribal Council.  In 1991, it was renamed the Carrier Chilcotin Tribal Council. We are now a federally incorporated legal entity  classified as "not for profit."

Mandate

According to our by-laws, the objects of the Corporation are (in part):

To promote and facilitate the social and economic well-being of the Carrier Chilcotin Aboriginal Peoples ... to encourage the heritage, culture, religion and education.

Under the terms of various contracts, we provide services in accordance with those agreements. We also perform some fee-for-service work.
